About AI for Law Firms

AI for Law Firms is run by Yes AI (YES RIGHT PTY LTD, Williamstown VIC): what we build for law firms, how we treat confidential information and how to reach us.
Updated

AI for Law Firms is a Yes AI service for Australian law firms. Yes AI is the trading name of YES RIGHT PTY LTD, ABN 91 664 546 061, of 11 McGuire Cres, Williamstown VIC 3016. This site explains what AI agents and automation can do inside a legal practice, what they cost, and where they should not be used.

What Yes AI builds

Yes AI builds AI voice agents with Australian voices, for answering inbound calls and making outbound ones, along with AI workflow automation, custom and private language models, and AI training for Australian businesses. AI for Law Firms brings together the parts of that work that a law firm is likely to need:

The calls are answered by an AI voice agent, not by people. Where a call needs a person, the agent transfers it to someone the firm has nominated or sends them an SMS, and the caller is told what happens next.

The main Yes AI site is yesai.au, with published plans on the pricing page. Other Yes AI sites cover individual services for every industry: ai-reception.au for call answering, ai-automation.au for workflow automation, ai-email.au for inbox work, customllm.au for private language models and ai-workshops.au for training.

Yes AI is not a law firm

Yes AI does not provide legal services and does not give legal advice, to firms or to their callers. The guides on this site, including AI and solicitors’ professional obligations and Privacy Act duties when a law firm uses AI, are general information written to help principals and practice managers ask better questions. Each one links to the rules, court documents and regulator guidance it relies on, so you can read the source yourself. For advice on your firm’s obligations, speak to your own advisers or your regulator, such as the Victorian Legal Services Board + Commissioner in Victoria.

The agents we set up for law firms follow the same line. They are configured never to advise a caller, and to offer a consultation or a call back from a solicitor instead.

How we approach confidential information

Solicitors owe their clients a duty of confidentiality, and an AI agent that hears client details on every call has to be built around that duty. Our approach for law firm projects:

  1. Collect less. At first contact the agent asks only what the firm needs to route the enquiry and run its conflict check. Detailed facts wait until a solicitor takes over.
  2. The firm decides what is kept. Full call recording and transcripts are only part of the Custom plan, and only switched on if the firm wants them. Many firms find a structured message is enough.
  3. Named recipients only. Messages go to the staff the firm names, or to a shared intake mailbox, never to a general list.
  4. A written list of providers. Yes AI’s privacy policy says each client project’s service agreement should set out its data handling and security requirements, and that data may be processed outside Australia. Ask us to list in writing which providers handle call audio, transcripts and messages, where they process data and how long it is kept.
  5. Invented details for testing. Test calls should use made-up names and matters, so no real client information passes through the agent before it goes live.
  6. The firm owns the rules. The greeting, call rules, urgent triggers and fee wording are the firm’s document. Changes are made only when the firm approves them.

What this site will and will not say

Figures, court documents and regulator guidance on this site link to their sources, and each page shows the date it was last reviewed. We do not publish client stories, testimonials, ratings or call statistics on this site. Prices appear only as Yes AI publishes them, in Australian dollars and excluding GST. If you find something out of date or wrong, email the page address and the correction to hello@yesai.au and we will fix it.

Who we work with

AI for Law Firms is written for principals, practice managers and chief operating officers of small and mid-size firms across Australia, in practice areas such as family law, wills and estates, conveyancing, personal injury, employment, criminal and commercial law. It is also useful for in-house legal teams that run their own intake or inbox. Firms usually start with one piece, often after hours calls or a single practice area line, and add more once the call rules have settled.
